Steve Paikin of TVO’s The Agenda discusses “Speakers for the Dead” with Producer, Jennifer Holness

A number of communities in Ontario were settled by Black pioneers in the 1700s and 1800s. Elise Harding-Davis, former curator at the North American Black Historical Museum and Cultural Centre, which is now known as the Amherstburg Freedom Museum; and producer and director, Jennifer Holness, president of Hungry Eyes Media, which produced the film, “Speakers for the Dead,” discuss Priceville, one such village near Collingwood.

“I was taught in school amost entirely a history that had no Black people in it, and when it did, it was Black American history.” – Jennifer Holness
