NOTHING FITS
Nothing Fits is a feature documentary about how fashion and Hollywood shapes our perceptions and desires about our bodies. Interweaving interviews and verite footage from celebrities, fashion designers, influencers, cultural critics, and icons with an eye to its glamourous history, the film takes us on a journey that deconstructs our obsession with thinness through the voices of the celebrities who drive our longings.
Nothing Fits explores over a century of fashion, and the female body types it elevates, to understand its impact on women who fall outside of trending norms. For women around the globe, fashion equals fun, desirability, glamor, sex appeal, and power. Nothing Fits intends to capture this experiential connection, while shining a light on what it feels like for the women who struggle to meet the body type standards set by Hollywood and the media.
Nothing Fits captures the connection between fashion, desirability, and power. Confirmed lead characters include Emma Thompson, Geena Davis and Laverne Cox. We are in the process of seeking another five celebrities, all who are trendsetters and exemplify varying body-types, but who are also incredibly successful in the Hollywood machinery. Nothing Fit is the follow up film to Writer/Director Jen Holness’s highly successful, Subjects of Desire.
